Charles Fort was an American writer and researcher, best known for his work on anomalous phenomena and his critique of the scientific establishment. Born in Albany, New York, in 1874, Fort developed an early interest in the unexplained and the unusual. His most notable works, including 'The Book of the Damned' and 'New Lands', explored the fringes of science and the unexplained events that often fell outside the boundaries of conventional understanding. He compiled a vast collection of observations and reports of strange occurrences, arguing that the scientific community often ignored or dismissed phenomena that were difficult to explain.
