Emmanuel Macron is a French politician and former investment banker who has served as the President of France since May 2017. He was born in Amiens and studied at some of the most prestigious educational institutions in France, including the École nationale d'administration (ENA). Macron's political career began when he was appointed as Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs in the government of Prime Minister Manuel Valls in 2014. His progressive policies and centrist approach quickly gained traction, leading him to establish his own political movement, La République En Marche!, which positioned itself as a new force in French politics.
