Muhammad was born in Mecca in 570 CE and is revered as the final prophet in Islam. He is credited with receiving revelations from Allah that constitute the Quran, the holy book of Islam, which guides the lives of millions around the world. His early life was marked by a deep sense of morality and a commitment to social justice, which would later influence his teachings and the establishment of a new religious community.

As he began to preach in Mecca, he faced significant opposition from the Quraysh tribe, leading to his eventual migration to Medina in 622 CE, an event known as the Hijra. In Medina, he established a burgeoning Muslim community and served as both a spiritual leader and a statesman. Muhammad's teachings emphasized the oneness of God, compassion, and the importance of community, laying the groundwork for a faith that would spread rapidly across the Arabian Peninsula and beyond, profoundly shaping the course of history.
