I listened to the audiobook & the narrator did a fantastic job (I say this as someone who's picky about annoying narrators). I really enjoyed this weird horror story and the main character for the most part, but I had one complaint. About halfway through, the protagonist's disbelief gets a little tiresome and unfortunately, this persists until, well, almost the end of the book. I was over her attitude pretty quickly and grateful when that issue resolved itself. My only other complaint is that the book's description gives away a big plot point that doesn't happen until about 60-70% through the book, which is so weird. If you're able to avoid the description, do so, because you get to a point where you wonder "When is THIS going to come in?" and it's not for a while. I don't know who wrote that but it's a shame. This is my second T.Kingfisher novel and I can't wait to read more.
