Set against the gritty backdrop of modern France, this provocative narrative unfolds through the lives of two women, each grappling with their own traumatic pasts. Navigating a society that feels oppressive and harsh, they embark on a journey that spirals into a whirlwind of rebellion and vengeance. Their escapades challenge societal norms and bring to light the darker aspects of human nature, all while blending raw emotion with a punk aesthetic.

Through vivid depictions and unflinching honesty, the story delves deep into themes of sexuality, power, and violence. The authors draw readers into a relentless exploration of how personal trauma can fuel an insatiable desire for freedom and catharsis. As the characters push boundaries in a world that often seeks to suppress them, their tale serves as both a fierce critique and an unapologetic celebration of autonomy in the face of chaos.

Rating: 0.5/5 StarsBaise-moi was a huge disappointment. The book focuses too much on shock value with violence and crude content, rather than offering a meaningful story or developing its characters. The main characters felt more like exaggerated stereotypes than real people. The writing was repetitive, making it hard to connect with the characters or the ideas the book tried to explore. Instead of addressing important themes, it just seemed to provoke without offering any depth. What was meant to be a rebellious take on female empowerment ended up feeling offensive and empty. This book lacks substance and is not worth reading and I want to rip my eyes out actually.
