Rating: 4.5There were a few points that the reasoning for not being together was paper thin, but the final act break-up wasn't terrible and overall I was able to suspend my disbelief and get lost in the emotions. What really won me over was the small-town librarian scenes having worked for a library for nearly fifteen years and still being incredibly passionate about libraries and their roles in communities and what they mean to so many individuals. I also couldn't get over the fact that the heroine's father is so much like my own father that when describing him to a friend they picked up on it as well. Absentee father that tried to buy affection with gifts? Check. Father might send weed illegally in the mail? Yup. Father let daughter know he got married to a woman the daughter hadn't met at the same when it's the daughter's birthday? Been there! I wish I was kidding!
i cannot form a coherent thought right but just know i love emily henry's love stories. and i love daphne and miles, and how i related to them soso deeply.
