Reviews

In the second installment of Juno Dawson's irresistable fantasy trilogy, a group of childhood friends and witches must choose between what is right and what is easy if they have any hope of keeping their coven--and their world--from tearing apart forever. After reading HMRC I really thought I was going to be blown away by The Shadow Cabinet. But while I did enjoy reading the book, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first instalment. It felt as if a lot was going on. There were so many POVs that at points I lost the POV I was reading from. It just felt a little scattered. I'm also still a little mad. They did my girl Niamh so damn dirty, Theo also. It's almost as if Theo just became a subplot despite the WHOLE first book being essentially centred around her. However, I still enjoyed the experience and I can't wait to see what the next book brings.
