Über den Autor

Aaron Swartz was an American computer programmer, entrepreneur, and internet activist known for his contributions to the development of web standards and his fierce advocacy for open access to information. He co-founded Reddit, and his early involvement in technology began as a teenager when he contributed to the RSS web feed format. Swartz's work extended beyond programming; he was an outspoken critic of internet censorship and played a key role in the fight against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), mobilizing a wide range of groups to oppose it.

Despite his young age, Swartz became a prominent figure in the digital rights movement. His passion for social justice and his belief in the free flow of information drove him to challenge the status quo, often at great personal cost. Tragically, his life was cut short in 2013, but his legacy continues to inspire activists and technologists around the world to advocate for a more open and equitable internet.
