Michael Lapsley
Sobre el Autor
Michael Lapsley is a South African Anglican bishop and anti-apartheid activist known for his advocacy for healing and reconciliation in post-apartheid South Africa. He was a member of the African National Congress and served as a chaplain for the liberation movements during the struggle against apartheid. In 1990, he became a victim of a letter bomb that resulted in the loss of both his hands and one eye, but this tragedy did not deter him from his mission of promoting peace and justice.
Lapsley founded the Institute for Healing of Memories, where he works to help individuals and communities affected by trauma to process their experiences and find paths for healing. His work emphasizes the importance of storytelling and listening as tools for reconciliation, particularly in communities grappling with the legacies of violence and oppression. Through his writings and public speaking, Lapsley continues to inspire others to pursue justice and healing in their own lives and societies.
