Sobre el Autor

Theodore of Mopsuestia was a prominent early Christian theologian and one of the leading figures of the Antiochene school of exegesis. He is best known for his detailed commentaries on the Scriptures, particularly his works on the Minor Epistles of Paul and the Psalms. Theodore's approach was marked by a focus on the literal interpretation of the biblical texts, setting him apart from many of his contemporaries who leaned towards allegorical interpretations. His writings reflect a deep engagement with both the text and the theological issues of his time, providing insights that would influence later generations of theologians.

Despite his significant contributions, Theodore's legacy has been complex. He was posthumously condemned at the Second Council of Constantinople in 553, primarily due to his association with Nestorianism. Nevertheless, his works continued to be studied and respected, particularly in the Eastern Christian traditions. Today, scholars recognize Theodore as a key figure in the development of biblical exegesis and Christological thought, illustrating the diversity of early Christian theological perspectives.
