I think the age of the characters weren't my thing, it felt very high school but the plot was good. I still enjoyed it
This book was refreshing because I don't remember the last time I read about the FMC falling first.I always thought that I wouldn't like it that way but I definitely did and I really loved every part of it.I don't get why some people are mad at Annika for shooting Creighton when he had a knife to her brother's neck. You're telling me you wouldn't do the same for your sibling? You'll just let your lover take the life of your sibling whom you spend your whole life with? Her actions are understandable and reasonable so I really hated it when everyone cut her off and made her feel bad about it. I mean yeah sure she could've shot him somewhere else not his goddamn chest but still. And the audacity of Creighton for getting mad at her and kidnapping her telling her how much he suffered because of it and blaming her. He knew that she would keep good with her promise. But her went ahead and did it because he wanted to die.I still love cray cray though, he didn't deserve that childhood and he was lost and confused when he learned that the love of his life's parents are behind it so I get it.I also get the friends' perspective, they didn't know Annika their whole life, they knew Creighton and grew up with him so I get it but Ava was a little too much while Cecily's reaction was more mature.Overall, I loved this book and enjoyed it but it's not one of my favorite books of Rina Kent.
This gave me a lot of tears that I was expecting, definitely a good one⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
