説明
Piper Bellinger thrives in the spotlight, her life a whirlwind of glamour and social events. Known for her striking style and carefree spirit, she walks the fine line between being the life of the party and a tabloid sensation. However, when her extravagant lifestyle spirals out of control, she finds herself at a crossroads. Instead of chasing the next headline, she is sent to the quaint coastal town of Westport to reconnect with her roots and regain a sense of perspective.
In this charming seaside village, Piper discovers a world far removed from her high-octane existence. Here, she is met with the rugged charm of local fishermen, including a brooding sea captain whose disapproval of her city lifestyle challenges her to take a hard look at herself. As she learns to embrace the slower pace of life, Piper confronts her past and navigates the intricate dynamics of family, friendship, and romance.
Her journey isn't just about self-discovery; it’s about building a community in a place that feels both foreign and familiar. As she grapples with her identity and what truly matters, Piper finds herself drawn deeper into the lives of those around her. The bond she forms with the town and its inhabitants offers a heartwarming counterpoint to her former life, forcing her to question what actually constitutes fulfillment.
Amid moments of humor and vulnerability, her transformation is not without its challenges. Through laughter, heartbreak, and unexpected connections, Piper learns that sometimes, stepping out of one’s comfort zone can lead to the most profound discoveries. In this delightful tale that weaves together themes of love, identity, and growth, she discovers that home might just be where her heart truly belongs.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. I'm not usually a fan of Tessa's but this one hit the mark for me.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the amount of character development in this book, watching socialite Piper Bellinger and fisherman Brendan Taggart grow as people as the book progresses was awe inspiring. I even loved the side characters! I can't wait to follow Hannah's story in Hook, Line & Sinker later this month!
