Ayn Rand was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, and playwright who is best known for her influential works, including 'Atlas Shrugged' and 'The Fountainhead'. Born in St. Petersburg, she experienced the upheaval of the Russian Revolution, which profoundly shaped her views on individualism and capitalism.
