Aristotle was a prominent Greek philosopher and polymath, whose works have had a profound influence on various fields including philosophy, science, and ethics. Born in 384 BC in Stagira, he became a pupil of Plato and later the tutor of Alexander the Great. His contributions to philosophy include the establishment of formal logic and the exploration of metaphysics, ethics, and political theory. Aristotle's writings, particularly 'Nicomachean Ethics' and 'Posterior Analytics', have laid the groundwork for much of Western thought and have been studied for centuries.
