الوصف

In a courtroom buzzing with tension, the stakes reach unimaginable heights as Joshua K finds himself entangled in a high-profile murder trial. What appears to be a straightforward case quickly morphs into a chilling web of deceit and manipulation when he discovers that one of the jurors is, in fact, a cunning serial killer. With time running out and danger lurking within the very room meant to deliver justice, Joshua must navigate a labyrinth of lies.

As the trial progresses, Joshua's instincts kick in, pushing him to uncover the truth hidden beneath layers of courtroom drama. With each witness called and every revelation made, the line between right and wrong blurs, creating an atmosphere charged with suspense. Will he be able to expose the killer before more lives are lost?

In this gripping narrative, the tension escalates as Joshua races against the clock to gather evidence and protect himself and his fellow jurors. Every decision he makes could seal their fates, leading to a shocking climax that questions the very nature of justice. The battle for survival unfolds in a mind game that keeps readers on the edge of their seats, reminding them that sometimes, the most dangerous monsters are those hidden in plain sight.

2⭐There is absolutely no way this book has such a high rating. For what?Yes, the premise is very interesting, that's why I picked up this book... But anything (and I mean ANYTHING) else was just so underwhelming.- The super-villain plot is very lazy and it was so over the top that it felt cartoonish (the guy is a mastermind and he doesn't even feel pain, how convenient)- The main character is interesting, but the way he comes to some conclusions very suddenly and based on close to nothing felt very unrealistic and, again, lazy.- The writing?! This book could've easily been 100 pages shorter if the author hadn't decided to over-explain every action and every decision and every word of every character.- The pacing was just the rotten cherry on top. 50% into this book and we barely get the start of the trial. All we've seen in the first 50% is the villain being the smartest, strongest, most cunning person that every was and the lawyer saying "I know that everything points to my client being guilty, but I feel it in my gut that he is innocent"Over 4⭐ on Goodreads?! For this?
