الوصف

In a chilling and dystopian world where the consumption of human flesh has become a societal norm, a grim tale unfolds. Agustina Bazterrica and 劉家亨 explore the unsettling reality of survival in a landscape marred by a peculiar virus that has decimated the animal population. The very fabric of society is shifted as a dark transformation takes place, inviting readers to confront their deepest fears and moral dilemmas.

Against this harrowing backdrop, an individual grapples with their identity and purpose. They pledge to ensure that their flesh is undesirable, creating a bitter barrier that denies others comfort in their demise. This haunting sentiment captures the essence of despair and resistance, reflecting the struggle between hunger and humanity. The narrative not only raises profound ethical questions but also challenges the reader to ponder the value of life in a world stripped of compassion.

As the boundaries between predator and prey blur, the psychological landscape becomes as complex as the physical one. With every page, the tension builds, leaving a lingering sense of unease. The work is a powerful reflection on the fragility of civilization and the choices that define us in moments of desperation. Through vivid imagery and emotional depth, this story promises to resonate long after the last page is turned.

I don't know what to say. The book is excellent; not a single dull moment. And the ending blew my mind so little I expected it.My personal tip would be to read this after or before you read Meat by Joseph D'lacey. Trust me, the two books are like twin flames and would give you different perspectives on the same issue.

✨ Initial vibe:Unsettling, disgusting and intriguing. 💭 Loved:I absolutely loved the way the process of everything was laid out. Even though it was disgusting, it showed how inhumane humans can be. 🪞 Didn’t love:I got so bored of the zoo scenes. 🌙 Fav Quote: “The human being is the cause of all evil in this world. We are our own virus.” 🍵 Aftertaste:I felt empty and sad and angry.
