The outcome of the Winternight trilogy brings us Vasya, Morozko and many other characters on a journey to save Russia. This book was perfect from start to finish. Vasya's development was wonderful as was the development of his relationship with Morozko. She's definitely one of the strongest characters I've ever read. I also enjoyed learning about her origins something that helped to understand how she could stay with the Winter King. This was certainly the book with the most twists and the ones that moved us the most. And besides bringing up the whole issue of religion and how faith is something extremely unique. As in previous books, world-building was also a strong point. But this one has a special place - just like the first - because of all the new places introduced, the midnight realm and also the lake house. Witch's Winter brings us an ending the height of the previous books besides being very satisfying. I will always remember the stories and places Vasya visited, and I know that whenever possible I will tell her story.
