Just when I thought it couldn't get any more unbelievable it did. absolutely incredible the things that this man had to face and endure. especially liked the section near the end to hear the impact of Billy Graham on his life.

It is such an amazing account of how one man can survive so much and still end up finding forgiveness. Laura does a great job at putting together the entire life of Louis Zamperini, from his childhood up to the very point that the book was published. His amazing story will only inspire others around the world on what can be accomplished through sheer grit. It's also heartbreaking to learn (even to this small extent) the atrocities that were committed by the Japanese. I always knew they did some horrible things, but this book only serves to bring those things to light. Marines: You'll find this book to be captivating and almost inspiring on what the human body can endure so long as the spirit is able to remain strong. It also brings to light the darkness that can be felt after experiencing the horrors of war. That often-forgotten mental battle that rages within the minds of so many service members. It's an amazing book all around and has a bit of everything for all readers to enjoy.
