عرض الكلIt's been a long, long time since I first read The Awesome Egyptians, but I still remember it quite clearly. This was the first book I was ever given from the Horrible Histories series, just after we studied Egypt in History class way back when I was in my first ever school. I was enamoured and my parents thought that this would be a brilliant Christmas present, and they were right. I still remember how many times I read it - 14 - the first week I was given it. This is a brilliant book for children and young adults and definitely furthered my mind into reading more about the Egyptians, and making history a subject I love even today. This was the first ever history book I read for enjoyment and to be amazed by history, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys history. Although basic, it holds a lot of humour that definitely gets the point across and helps to keep knowledge locked in the brain. Even now, about fifteen years later, I still remember most of what I learned about the Egyptians from this book. I really want to read this again after finding it again, and I would definitely recommend this to parents with younger kids who they want to encourage to enjoy history. This is brilliant and really is one of the best series for younger children and adults to read to encourage a love for history.
