Literal chefs kiss, the reason I started reading, the love of my life, my baby, my everything.I finished this book in 2 days and would do anything to be able read it again.
It’s more like a 3.75 stars not a full 4 but anyway………………………………………………………………………Where should i start with this book hmm, first let’s talk about what i liked in it, okay? The book start pretty slow but i didn’t mind that maybe others well but i’m fine with it, for some vague reason it was captivating and very hilarious, l kid you not I laughed my head off because of this book soooo bad lolll, mostly because of Gibsie and Johnny these twoa freaking mess and i love them because of it.I loved the dark element in this book, not in a bad way don’t get me wrong i mean i love that’s talking about an issue so dark and heartbreaking like that to make readers more aware of this issue. Also it showed how hyper fixing on something that much to the point you lost yourself in the middle because of it, will break you in end, how you feel yourself nothing without it.It showed how even teenagers could and would suffer like adults would, they even would suffer and be destroyed because of the adults.I giggled a lot because of freaking Johnny ughh this boy is so down bad for her from the get go poor boy was losing his mind lol. Now, what i didn’t like about it… Cringe, cringe, and freaking cringe You can’t convince me that this book and its written style is absolutely cringe like wattpad level of cringe, like a fanfic a teenager would write from her wild, childish imagination.Everything was cringe, the povs, the dialogues, the writing style, some from the inner thoughts especially from the fmc were painfully cringey.I was that close to rip off my head if the fmc mentioned against how small and tiny and short and fragile she is one more freaking time. Also why on earth would an adult write about s*x and sexual stuff like A LOT between teenagers?!! That’s freaking disgusting and creepy.
For someone who will often skim read over parts of a book that are not interesting or don't feel important to the plot or book, I can say I was stuck to every sentence if this book all the way through! Thoroughly enjoyed
This is a perfecr slow burn romance book. I feel in love with the book and couldnt put it down. I would check the warnings on the book befoee reading it as it covers some harsh topics.this book deserves all the hype it gets and cant wait to read more of the series
Rating: 4.5 stars.“You’re safe with me.”This book had me in a choke hold from start to finish. I went in thinking a 600+ page romance might take me forever to get through, but nope, I devoured it. The pacing, the characters, the drama, all of it kept me flipping pages like my life depended on it. I didn’t even realize how fast I was reading until suddenly I was at the end, staring at the last page like… how did I finish this already? It was that addictive.➛ Shannon (like the river):
Es de los mejores que he leido a pesar de que el libro es lento no es de esos en los que no pasa nada sino que acumula tension y eso es lo que hace que den mas ganas de seguir leyendolo. Me encantó
I love both books in this serious.I honestly think I cried more half the book, butthe ending. OH shit that had me mad sobbing.Gasping for air type shit.I think all the characters were wonderfullywritten. Gibsie especially. I love him and Claireway too much. Their banter and bickering madefor great comedic relief. I also adore Johnnyand Gibsie relationship. It shows that they arenot just bestfriends, they genuinely view eachother as brothers. And I love how encouragingGibsie was of Johnny and "Little Shannon." lol.As for Shan. Oh shit. she is just 15. 15 andwent through so freaking much. And poor Joey.Oh God. My heart truly aches for the Lynchsiblings. (Tadgh is high-key my fav). This book did well in highlighting the troublealot of young athletes faces as well. With theway Johnny was neglecting himself. I saw thisso many times with my friends and thosearound me that it's honestly crazy how real thistruly is.Another than that I honestly enjoy and wouldqive a solid 4.5 read. Also I can't with theaudiobooks lol. Like I know they are Irish butthe accent always throw me off.
I must admit I liked it more than I anticipated because I seriously considered DNFing it after first chapter because it was so questionable??? Mostly I was looking forward for Gibsies appearances. Also I don't know if it was because the polish translation I've listened to it in but the language was so poor. Oh and don't get me started on how small and tiny Shannon was because I just might lose it. That being said I'm going to read the next book lmao
No comment, the book is good great even. Once you start the series you will get the rest I promise you, I did and I didn't regret it!
I loved this book, I loved the characters and the story and the heartbreak at the end. It was all just a masterpiece
I loved it. I won't lie the size of the book scared me but I couldn't put it down. It was brilliant. I loved it.
