I love both books in this serious.I honestly think I cried more half the book, butthe ending. OH shit that had me mad sobbing.Gasping for air type shit.I think all the characters were wonderfullywritten. Gibsie especially. I love him and Claireway too much. Their banter and bickering madefor great comedic relief. I also adore Johnnyand Gibsie relationship. It shows that they arenot just bestfriends, they genuinely view eachother as brothers. And I love how encouragingGibsie was of Johnny and "Little Shannon." lol.As for Shan. Oh shit. she is just 15. 15 andwent through so freaking much. And poor Joey.Oh God. My heart truly aches for the Lynchsiblings. (Tadgh is high-key my fav). This book did well in highlighting the troublealot of young athletes faces as well. With theway Johnny was neglecting himself. I saw thisso many times with my friends and thosearound me that it's honestly crazy how real thistruly is.Another than that I honestly enjoy and wouldqive a solid 4.5 read. Also I can't with theaudiobooks lol. Like I know they are Irish butthe accent always throw me off.
I must admit I liked it more than I anticipated because I seriously considered DNFing it after first chapter because it was so questionable??? Mostly I was looking forward for Gibsies appearances. Also I don't know if it was because the polish translation I've listened to it in but the language was so poor. Oh and don't get me started on how small and tiny Shannon was because I just might lose it. That being said I'm going to read the next book lmao
No comment, the book is good great even. Once you start the series you will get the rest I promise you, I did and I didn't regret it!
I loved this book, I loved the characters and the story and the heartbreak at the end. It was all just a masterpiece
