This book was great. The dynamics of the relationship between Felicity and Jon were just perfect. You can tell that the author spent a good amount of time developing these characters and it showed in the writing. I felt like this story was playing out in front of me which is a testament to the world building and character development and connection. This book touched on mental health, family and life after a divorce. I loved that these topics didn’t take over the book but rather helped guide some of the story line. This was a hockey romance with a great amount of spice following a slow burn. I would definitely recommend this book.
I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I was so lucky to be given an arc copy of this amazing book and it did not disappoint. I flew through most of this book just today. I could not put it down. This debut book by Ruth is so beautifully written. The main story between Jon and Felicity is beautifully written, I love how the background of both characters is so beautifully put together to show how much they have both overcome and how beautiful their relationship becomes through what they have overcome. This has got to be one of my favourite reads and I must admit the ending had me crying as it was so beautiful and pulled on the heart strings for me.
