Carl's Doomsday Scenario takes what we already know from the first book and takes an interesting more classif RPG-like turn as we enter the third floor. The new concepts of quests and the overarching plot thats said to be covering the 6th, 9th, and further floors down is interesting, and I can't wait to see what the conclusion of it will be.
The addition of Katia to the party is interesting, as it provides us with a little look into what other high ranked parties are like.
The reveal of the title getting namedropped was cool, especially with the consequences and foreshadowing it provides.
Reading on curiously and excitedly!
Edit: Originally 5 stars, but after getting further into the series, I'm dropping it to 4. I still loved it, but I feel like this was one of the weaker books in the series.
Honestly, I feel like this one was even better than the first book! No notes, it was great and I can't wait to read the next book.
This book felt a bit slow in parts but overall had a lot more character building and showed real depth to the main cast. Carl and Donut being screwed out of their celestial loot box at the end annoyed me but overall I'm enjoying this series.
