Enthralling. Loved every page.The reincarnation idea was fascinating. As each section progressed I wondered how darkness would fall for Ursula this time and what small change might occur next time to mean that she did not. Very thought provoking when you think such a small change could change the direction your life takes.Wartime was a huge part of this novel and I really enjoy stories set in wartime and, as the Kate Atkinson explained in her author's note, she didn't worry too much about precise factual details, just go on and wrote the story from what she had learnt about the era from testimonies.I read [b:A God in Ruins|3722183|A God in Ruins|Kate Atkinson|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1451442002s/3722183.jpg|42652219] prior to this one which was fine to do as neither spoilt the other. I hope Kate Atkinson writes another about this family.
