Each entry indicates whether and where video clips can be found, the chapter of Deviant Cinema in which it has been cited, and whether it has been illustrated online. Readers can search by individual names (director, actor) or words (subject) or groups of words (titles) or by number (dates).
The directory catalogues the director, the actors, the country of origin, the date of release and the basic plot details and relevance of each film. Apart from occasional comments on scripts, sound effects and costuming, it does not, however, listing producers, scriptwriters, editors, sound engineers or any technical personnel. The cumulative entries constitute the evidence for the general statements, arguments, conclusions and statistics in the main text.
