So book two in this new PNR series from Poppy Wolfe aka Blair Babylon is stronger than the first book which I enjoyed, but you can tell that the author is in the groove and enjoying building this new world thats full of sassy females who are not quite perfect and the alpha males Blair is great at creating, but with the PNR twist , to me at least get an extra bonus star.The book has the right amount of humour and i love those fountain sea serpents... Oh boy there's some funny scenes in the book with them and Willows magic potion errors. And Awarns Dragon... Actually for me the way the authors written about the relationship between the dragon soul and Awarns human half touched me, to me it was very well written ... To the outside world, Awarn was cool calm and collected but on the subconscious level he was always on guard, never fully accepting the dragon, basically denying half of himself, never being fully at peace, instead blaming and believing that it was malevolent and dangerous. Not sure if any other readers felt like this, but I loved the depth of the characters. I really love the description of, scenes, it truly painted a visual image in my mind, great writing Blair. If you haven't started the series yet, grab book one, if you love Blairs other books but have never read PNR, grab book one... I'm confident that you're going to get hooked too. Roll on book 3... Or more 📚😍
