عرض الكل“That was the problem with love. It was hard to unlearn, not matter how harsh the lesson.”3.65 stars rating. This book felt much more controlled and thought out than the first one. The first one felt like it was a bit all over the place—too much going on. This one, however, felt like there wasn’t loads going on and the mystery in it was a lot better than the first book. I wasn’t gobsmacked by the revelations, but it was a little bit of a surprise and by the end, in the last 150-200 pages, I was gripped and needed to know what happened next. But I will admit, the beginning felt slow, even if the timeline was passing quickly. It just felt like it took some time to set up the premise of the book and at some times, I was a bit confused with histories. I like that I actually get to meet Darlington, but would have literally killed for some spark or romance or sexual tension between the characters and perhaps something a bit more from hell instead of it being as simple as it was to get there and find Darlington there. Liked how it ended, even if it could have been shortened a little bit. Waiting for the next one.
