Las Animas

Last Jeremiah Kelley remembers he was a fourteen-year-old kid in Wyoming, working a coal mine alongside his father. But something must have happened, because he wakes to find that nineteen years have passed without leaving any trace in his memory. Suddenly he's a grown man, one of the last surviving members of a posse gathered to pursue a mysterious fugitive and his gang into the wilderness near the Colorado-New Mexico border. His only companion is a vengeful stranger, who claims to be a deputy sheriff––though not everything the man says adds up. Now caught in the middle of a bloody feud, and without the luxury of certainty, Kelley is forced to make choices that will determine the fates of half a dozen men, and the consequences of what happens out here may sprawl.
