I grew up isolated in a house of fear and pain; it was only the weekly calls with my best friend, Tucker Smith, that got me through.

When I finally broke free, Tucker made it clear he wanted more than friendship. He'd never seen my face, but saw a future for us. However, his remote mountain life reminded me too much of the past, so I broke my own heart and cut ties, thinking we would never speak again.
