I loved the childhood friends to lovers/enemies to lovers trope! Lily and Tobin had such fun banter to the point of tension that everyone knew they would eventually date, they even had a bet going. I loved how different they were but how they just understood each other. They came from the same background but they both dealt with it differently. I didn't like the whole mean girls aspect tho this book it was hard to see Lily deal with that both in highschool and in her career! Also the characters felt more like teens although they in their late 20s. Overall this book has a great message of understanding who you are and how you got there. Being grateful for the path life has given you!
