الوصف

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations—and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses. Not far from the luxurious castle where she is spending a week, she finds her cousins, Branna and Connor O’Dwyer. And since family is family, they invite her into their home and their lives. When Iona lands a job at the local stables, she meets the owner, Boyle McGrath. Cowboy, pirate, wild tribal horsemen, he’s three of her biggest fantasy weaknesses all in one big, bold package. Iona realizes that here she can make a home for herself—and live her life as she wants, even if that means falling head over heels for Boyle. But nothing is as it seems. An ancient evil has wound its way around Iona’s family tree and must be defeated. Family and friends will fight with each other and for each other to keep the promise of hope—and love—alive…

I don't know if it was the cover or the write up for this book but I've been waiting weeks for this book to come out. I kept checking to see if the bookstore would put it out early ... alas no such luck! I finally picked it up yesterday and haven't really put it down since minus eating and a little sleeping. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although it's similar in genre to Nora Roberts' Sign of Seven series I can tell already that this is a much better series. I can't wait for the next two books to come out. The story ... the original Dark Witch sacrifices herself to protect her children from Evil. In doing so she gifts her three children and their offspring with her powers knowing that at some point the power of the three together will one day vanquish Evil. Iona, is finally realizes her power and sells her things and moves herself to Ireland to find her cousins, Brenna & Connor ... She, Branna and Connor are the power of three. Branna and Connor must help Iona accept and control her powers. From the first moment Iona sees Boyle astride Alastar she knew he was her all her fantasies in delectable package. Boyle McGrath is co-owner in the stable that Iona gets a job at, he's also Connor's best friend. He doesn't know what's hit him in this fiery little woman who is determined to get him into bed.
