Beazie Deadham is alone and on the run, after witnessing the murder of her boss. Before he died he managed to give her a tape, which he told her to deliver to 'Evan' in Maple Hill, and now the criminals are after her as well as the tape.

Evan Braga has moved to tranquil Maple Hill to escape his past as a big-city policeman. The last thing he's looking for this Christmas is the trouble that gorgeous Beazie brings when she lands on his doorstep. Especially once he discovers his brother played a part in it.

But the thugs are on the trail, and Evan - and his family - find they will do whatever it takes to protect Beazie.
