Every few years a new game craze sweeps society. Minecraft is one of the latest. The game is based on building things with blocks, a bit like a computerized version of Lego™. Your aim is to mine blocks of different materials and then build things with the blocks. The game can get quite competitive and creative, many people will spend months creating their mine space designs. These even include copies of famous monuments and homages to actors. Over 20 million copies of Minecraft have sold since it was first created.
If you've never played then this is a good way to get ahead of the game, and if you have then you also might just learn a few things here. Minecraft is a fun an entertaining way to pass the time but there are also skills that can be learned through play. The game isn't just about building, come sundown they will have to fend off hoards of zombies and other nasties with whatever they have built. The items can be as simple as a crafted pickax or an intricate maze of mine shafts.
Minecraft generation is very random, your initial terrain changes, your materials and what get's dropped too. This makes it very hard to know what direction to take but forces you to be adaptable. In this book we will give you suggestions and ideas that can help make your random world a little easier to navigate and the darkness less daunting.
