In the sweltering heat of a summer heatwave in The Hague, the hidden lives of neighbors start to unravel, revealing secrets that are better left buried. As the temperature rises, so do tensions among the residents, each grappling with their own personal dilemmas while becoming increasingly entangled in one another's affairs.

Jet van Vuuren masterfully crafts a tale of suspense and intrigue, where the mundane aspects of daily life are turned upside down. The characters, diverse and complex, must confront not only their own demons but also the unsettling truths that emerge from their seemingly ordinary existence. A chilling reminder that sometimes, ignorance may be the best option when it comes to the lives of those living next door.
