It was in the early hours of the morning, when the hotel corridor was dark and silent, that a door opened and a strange figure dressed in scuba gear, complete with a mask and oxygen tank, opened the door of a room, looked out to see if there was anyone around, then ran across the hall, opened the door of the room opposite and slipped inside. Bruce Prentice was lying drunk and unconscious on the bed. The figure dragged him off the bed and into the bathroom where they manhandled him into the bath. They then made sure the extractor fan was off and the window was shut tight before putting the canister they was carrying on the floor. The figure then opened it before quickly walking out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind them. Making sure the window in the bedroom was shut tight, they opened the room door, looked out again to see if the coast was still clear, then ran back across the hall into the room opposite. A few hours later the figure again left the room, checking that the coast was clear first, then again entered the room opposite. This time they opened the window in the bedroom wide then went into the bathroom, checked the man in the bath was dead, opened the window wide, picked up the canister, put the extractor fan on and walked out leaving the bathroom door open. They looked around to make sure they hadn’t missed anything before opening the room door, had a quick look into the hall, then ran back into the room opposite. This time they missed seeing the drunk just coming around the corner who stopped in shock as he saw the strange apparition disappearing into the room.
