عرض الكلFacing Christmas alone after their only daughter joins the Peace Corps for a year, the Kranks decide to cancel this Christmas. With a cruise booked leaving noon Christmas day, the Kranks are faced with letting down friends, neighbours, and local businesses with their cancellation plan. But when a suprise phone call comes on Christmas Eve, the Kranks plans end up doing a complete turnaround. Can they organise Christmas in just a few short hours? This was a nice quick read, funny in parts, and leaving me feeling second-hand stress in others!
Hmmm. This book was very funny in parts, but the extreme that the author took this plot was very unrealistic and quite nauseating. I found this book predictable and truly disappointing. Honestly the author's whole veiw on "Skipping Christmas" is just as selfish as the indulgence of over spending itself. This book lost the whole meaning of Christmas and then drop kicked it again by making it seem that Christmas is only about the money spent. Yes its fiction! But yuck I was not pleased with it at all. Then the ending was the worst, like a hurried rush to tie up loose ends with ribbons and bows, yet so achingly sweet that it makes you sick!
