Written by a neurologist, this novel focuses on journalist C.J. and his wife Julie, who has MS, and his quest to fund treatment for her that is not covered by the NHS. Set in Belfast after the ceasefire, C.J. has also to deal with terrorists and the problems of violence in post-Troubles Northern Ireland.
