The Shadow War

Cal Serhan is feared dead, his body burned. The Mage Lords of Shanakan must cope without him, but it seems they can agree on nothing. White Rock is abandoned and in Sarata the Faer Karani Gerique plots his conquest of the world.

Felice Caledon tries to assemble a coalition of forces to resist, but she lacks the skill to use the one weapon that can banish the Faer Karan again. Her other hope is the Ekloi, but they seem to have abandoned Shanakan to its fate.

Gerique is fighting a shadow war, his weapons are trickery, assassination and magic. Month by month his armies grow and, as the years pass, almost without fighting, the cities of the coast fall to him one by one.

Felice believes that Cal may still be alive, but can even he turn the tide, and will he return in time to try?
