عرض الكلSecond attempt returning to the straight reading world, spoiler alert: it was a flop. But to be fair maybe it's not this book's fault but mine for giving it a chance because at the beginning there is a clarification from the author where she more or less tells you what you're going to find in the book and I ignored it. Short summary, Parker and Casey meet in college, they are both united by a traumatic family past...and that's all they have in common. Parker is the typical jock kid who thinks he's the best in the world so his ego is through the roof...and he's either a psychopath or just needs therapy...In fact, he should go to jail.. Casey is the typical grieving girl with no personality and manipulable...who also needs therapy, in fact almost some of the secondary characters also need urgent therapy. The story progresses with their relationship which was pretty fast paced for me, Parker doing questionable things to get the girl and Casey just letting herself go because since she has no personality she accepts whatever is put in front of her. For me the story in the beginning was okay, then in the middle it was decent, before it got to the end it got a little interesting and the ending was horrible. Before reaching the end when the story got a little interesting I thought it was going to change the whole plot but no, total disappointment, it was the same. The ending was bad for me because in fact their whole "love" story is really just simple obsession and Stockholm syndrome and if anyone says this is romance they are lying. But if you're reading this and you're into obsession and all that, you should give it a chance.
