Whispering Spirits

In the middle of peaceful retirement, living in a get-tough-with-crime county, on the outskirts of Sagebrush, Texas, Percy Jenkins' wife is brutally murdered as the sun sinks low in an orange and purple September sky. Worse than being implicated in the wrongful death of his beloved Rebecca, Percy has come to the knowledge of the killer's true identity and no way of proving it. Without witness or alibi to substantiate his own innocence, Percy becomes the person of interest in the killing. With a crooked District Attorney conviction bent on having Percy on death row by the Christmas holidays, Percy's only hope of a not guilty verdict rests entirely upon the efforts of two special people; Percy's daughter, Alexandria and recent convert to his cause, Special Investigator, Regina Lee. Gathering the necessary evidence in bringing the real killer to trial will require more than the gallant diligence of two relentless women willing to risk their lives in the name of justice . . . it will involve Percy learning to listen to the quiet voices of deceased loved ones, better known as Whispering Spirits.
