Über den Autor
Benson Deng is a Sudanese author and one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, a group of over 20,000 boys who fled their homes during the Second Sudanese Civil War. His experiences as a child fleeing violence and seeking refuge in the United States have shaped his life and work. Along with co-authors Alephonsion Deng and Benjamin Ajak, he wrote "They Poured Fire on Us From the Sky," a poignant memoir that recounts their harrowing journey and the resilience of young refugees. Through their narrative, they shed light on the struggles faced by many displaced individuals and the indomitable spirit of hope that remains in the face of adversity.
