Ciara and Oliver meet a couple weeks before Covid hits Dublin. Feeling an instant connection, they decide to live together during the 2 week shut down for their connection to continue to flourish. But they both have secrets and those get harder to hide in such close contact all the time. The result is a dead body 56 days later. Chapters alternate between multiple POVs and between the past and present. The past is told out of order and that can get a little confusing at parts. It was a little drawn out and maybe had a couple turns too many (felt like twists just for the sake of keeping you second guessing) but overall a really good read!
This book is a must read for any fans of thrillers or mysteries! Before this I had purposely stayed away from books using covid as a plot because of how much it surrounded the rest of the media i had consumed, but I'm so glad that i gave this book a chance.From the first chapter i was instantly reminded of the Netflix show You, which i have loved from the beginning. I instantly fell in love with Ciera and Oliver as a couple and was kept on my toes the entire book as the mystery of the murder began to unravel. I was so shocked to find that it wasn't Ciera who was dead like i expected but actually Oliver and couldn't believe it when the conclusion rolled out and we found out she was Shane's sister this entire time.
