Absolutely amazing, I was hooked from the very beginning.
The first chapter was outstanding in setting the scene, introducing us to the characters and filled to the brim with minutiae detail that any mystery lover would eat up. Whilst subsequent chapters never quite managed to maintain that level, they were still undoubtedly excellent.
The only issue I had, hence the rating not being 5★, is the pacing being somewhat disjointed. Some chapters the pacing is fast and flowing, others chapters the pacing almost reaches a crawl. However that never detered me from enjoying what has become one of my favourite books since starting my reading journey.
