Very very different from my usual reads. I greatly enjoyed mccarthys ‘the road’ which struck me in a really intense, emotional way; this was not that.I enjoyed the intensity of this book, it said what it wanted to do - show journeys of men abandoning their lives for the Wild West. In such a depressing way man. And isnt that just McCarthy all over. I understand this book hits good for people- just not for me! Which is ok
