Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. Jeremiah, 6: 16.
I will not take up the time to describe the condition of the Jewish people at the time these words were addressed to them. They were in a state of great degeneracy; and were under the frown of God.
