A Siren's Masquerade

In a world where people are afraid to show their true faces and even touch one another’s bare skin, a war begins silently under the streets of Paris between two of the world’s oldest one wants to save humankind and the other seeks to devour it. At the same time, Lorelei Ayers of America crosses the ocean to die, but gets much more than she bargained for in the form of Sébastien D’aubigne, The Vampyre King.
Lorelei has heard of the danger of vampyres her entire life, but when she meets Sébastien she throws all caution to the wind and refuses to believe that he is one of the monsters so feared by society. Sébastien is helplessly drawn to Lorelei and their unusual relationship immediately captures the attention of his foes- the Slayer Sect and Leech Colonies- and is suddenly thrust into a situation that he never expected… and doesn’t know how to solve.
Should he turn Lorelei into a partum cruor vampyre, destroy her, or kill himself to save her and his kind’s very existence? The decision will inevitably come, either from his enemies or his creator, the formidable Black Count, and something that is the greatest mystery among them all, The Creperum.
