Beschreibung
Animal Farm is a 1945 allegorical novella by George Orwell that uses farm animals to satirize the Russian Revolution and the rise of Stalinism, critiquing totalitarianism, power, and corruption. After overthrowing their human farmer, the animals establish their own society, but the pigs, led by the cunning Napoleon, gradually seize control, betraying the revolution's ideals of equality and creating a dictatorship even more oppressive than the original regime, famously summarized by the commandment: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others".

Stimmung: dark · tense
Another okay classic. It's set up well and I ADORE how this book fits into today's world and economy. The animals staying animalistic was nice as they didn't randomly become humanized (until the end (spoil?)) Anyway it's one of those quick reads you can get over with in a day, so I recommend it if you like the harsh reality
