What happens when a young woman finds herself holding a book of knowledge written by one of the Fallen? After waking from a three month coma, Brinly McShaw will find out what is in store for her when she discovers that her parents have sent her one of the very same books. Brinly must work to prevent the worst thing from happening, but who can she really trust to help her?

Brinly McShaw is a young woman with a past she is not proud of. As a rare book expert, she has had her fair share of shady deals and questionable customers but when she notices someone following her, she can't help but wonder about this new potential client.

She never quite makes it that far though. Waking from a three month coma, she finds herself in a situation where she is now in a world that has a whole new set of players. Fallen and Celestials are poised for an all out war and it is all because of her parents and their quest for knowledge.

Brinly must now take her parent's work and do what she can to prevent the loss of free will and and protect humanity from the pain and suffering that the Fallen hope to inflict upon them in order to regain Grace. But can it really be stopped. Will Brinly be able to prevent innocent lives from being wasted? Can she trust those who have presented themselves to help her? Or must she rely on herself to stop what is coming? Or should she just accept that there is no Free Will and be the first to let the Fallen take one step closer back to Grace.
