Welcome to Arcane, where nightmares are real, and dangerous, and alive. Where the landscape of the mysterious planet draws off its inhabitants’ subconscious, creating areas of dream-like wonder known as ‘Mirages’ and, more dangerously, spaces of nightmarish darkness known as ‘Rifts’. The inhabitants are sedated daily, their subconscious’ suppressed. Some do not follow the rules.

We follow the man responsible for controlling it all. Arcane Cerebral Enforcer. Supremely gifted. Utterly exhausted. Excel finds himself in the middle of an epidemic where nightmares run rife across the land. He follows the phenomena to the source, and what he finds there catastrophically changes his perceptions of reality and fate.
