Choices

Choices is set on the West Side of Chicago in the Austin neighborhood during the 1970s and journeys the life of two Afro American girls who forged a friendship and bond at the age of fourteen and lasted over twenty years. A bond, in spite of family misgivings, that could not be broken. We watch them grow through adolescence and early adulthood, embracing their challenges and applauding their victories. Yvonne, a fun-loving girl who fights the feeling of alienation from her family and relies on the support of a man filled with insecurities to bring her happiness. And Pam, who was raised in a two-parent home and battled with her sister for the love of their father-searched for love in the wrong places. Together these two women lean on each other for support, the love between them will last beyond a lifetime.
